Glad to see Snejana back especially on her own country's Russian Vogue. Snejana has not been active editorial and campaign wise, and only walked a few selected shows. I wonder what happens to her momentum, she used to front every possible covers and campaigns. Models can be the "it girl" today gone tomorrow but I hope this does not happen to her. She is a top model in her own rights and I hope that she will regain her momentum back. Just like Sasha Pivovarova when she was replaced by Linda Evangelista for Prada, everybody wonders what will happen to her but after a little break (from the catwalk) Sasha comes out strong, scoring tons of campaigns and remains the most sought after models today. I just hope that the same thing goes for Snejana Onopka. Maybe she need to lay a low profile, deserving a longer break and come back with a bang! (pics from womenmanagement.blogspot)
Compare SS09 to FW08. The casting is different but the background is the same. I would prefer FW08 with Snejana Onopka and Hye Park. They make it look more classy. While with Eniko Mihalik and Lakshmi Menon, it is more vibrant and youthful. I just think the pairing is a little bit odd. But I applaud Max Mara for using more Asian models as their market is also centered at Asia as well.
