Runway Beauties
I'm loving these few looks from the Fall 2009 runway. Clearly, the best make-up come fall is having a minimum make-up, go for nude colours, maybe add a little gold, some mascara and eyeliner but all the attention goes to the eyes. When it comes to the lips, just a little gloss cause nothing is everything!Take the cue from:

Marni

Anna Sui
(with the exception of Anna Sui, I just love Pat McGrath takes on the girls, it suits the theme of the show definitely and it makes the models shines - how often do you see Snejana Onopka smile on the runway?)

This girl has gone a long way..

I have high hopes for Jac. She is fresh and the designers loves her too. This is just her first season and she's already walking for the big names- Jonathan Saunders, Proenza Schouler, Marc Jacobs, BCBG Max Azria, Herve Leger, Donna Karan, Richard Chai, Phi and not forgetting Rag and Bone which she kickstarted with. This girl even opens and closes Calvin Klein. However, due to her age, she might not appear in London and Paris but we might catch her at Milan. I think she's going to get even bigger at Milan- with all the powerhouses there. She's walked 13 shows in New York and the list is as below:
(2) Herve Leger by Max Azria
(3) Rag & Bone
(4) Donna Karan
(5) Ralph Lauren
(6) Calvin Klein
(7) Marc Jacobs
(8) Marc by Marc Jacobs
(9) Philopsophy di Alberta Ferretti
(10) Richard Chai
(11) Proenza Schouler
(12) Phi
(13) Jonathan Saunders

Another season of Rodarte-ness
Rodarte surprises us with their Spring 2008 collection when they start to experiment with collage and amazes us with their breathtaking evening dresses. It is still very fresh and raw for the next Fall 2008 collection. The colors are more dark- blood red, a lot of white and black but the dresses are again- beautiful. I, especially loves the long train on Karlie. Spring 2009 collection is like a fairy tale come true, every single clothes look like a fairy flying out from Neverland. It has become like a tradition for Rodarte though to make a full collection from similar looking outfits. The dresses again are just so wonderful. Very beautiful. Then came Fall 2009, and again, the outfits looks exactly the same as in previous seasons. Maybe we've been seeing this for like more than a year and sometimes a little change is better than none. Yes, the color changes, it's warmer this season and there's some changes here and there, no chains more leathers. But the clothes looks the same and after every season going "wow" there's no more "surprises" anymore. And the dresses are gone this season too. They are surely lacking something here...

The Next Elie Saab, perhaps?
Introducing two designers fresh from the Rome Fashion Week. First up is Lebanese designer Abed Mahfouz. His designs is soft, pastel colored with crystal embellishments. You can just imagine these dresses worn for any awards show by the celebrities.

Then, there's Tony Ward, also a Lebanese. His style is very feminine. Elegant but structured.A little girly but still grown up. Also suitable for awards but I think this will appeal more for a younger market. Look at the white mini dress the model's wearing ( far right) , so cute, right?

Though it is Rome Fashion Week, but in my opinion these two Lebanese shines through. But I would prefer to see another Lebanese talent doing something different. Elie Saab, Abed Mahfouz and Tony Ward shares the talent in designing BEAUTIFUL evening gowns but something different would be refreshing.
